

Dolores Jennings was born in New York, NY, the daughter of Jack Wilson & Genevieve Grymes. She spent her early childhood with her parents and her aunt, Lillian Taggart in Staten Island and New Jersey. Dolores & her mother Genevieve Taylor moved to Madison NJ in the 1970's and after her mother's passing in 1985 Dolores moved to Summit, NJ where she lived until 2017. She passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Juniper Village Assisted Living in Chatham, NJ.
Dolores graduated from Curtis High School in 1946 and attended Wagner Evening College. She worked as an executive secretary at Allied Chemical Corporation for many years, first in New York City and then in Morristown, NJ. She married Donald Jennings in 1952 and lived briefly in California. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Castleton Ave, Staten Island where she was a member of the Altar Society and the Bazaar Committee. She was also a member of the American Legion Chapter on Staten Island. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing the piano and the company of family and friends. Although she was an only child, she had many cousins in her mother's extended family, Muriel Eckhardt, Violet O'Donnell and her Clark cousins, William Clark, Lillian Guttler, Marguerite Phillips and Myrtle Fedde. She is survived by her second cousins, Donald Greendale, Katherine Benson & Elizabeth Brown and her dear friends Kathleen Cerasoli and Carol Bohanek and her devoted caregivers Aurora Torto and Mona Raiate.
