Anthony and I miss talking to you listening to all your stories and going out for dinner. You are truly missed but in our hearts with good memories. Please watch over us .

Now retired and thinking of my early days as a new teacher and dean navigating the hallways of Harry Van Arsdale High School, I remember how helpful and caring Don and Rose (Mrs. Isoldi) were to me. I spent 20 years of my career as a dean at two schools and I have Don to thank for showing me the ropes and Rose for helping me with many situations. Don, you are a true gentleman and thank you for the fond memories of my early career. My condolences to Rose and his beautiful family.

You are so missed Anthony and I miss your friendship your knowledge about music, movies and old TV shows and most of all getting together for dinners with you and your beautiful wife Rosalie . There are so many wonderful memories you are always in our hearts 

Even a year later Don, you are thought of so fondly from the family that was brought together from your classic Doo Wop class. Tuesdays from 10-12 was our favorite time and day. Continue to rest on. We will always remember you.❤️❤️

Dear Don: you created a loving group of doo whoppers  Many of us are still friends and miss you. Your class was a once in a lifetime experience. Miss and love you.

Wow! Truly a shock to hear of Don’s passing! Don’s Doowop class at the Manhattan Sí Beagle Center was one of my first retirement courses) along with Zumba and Salsa Dancing)! I hit the lottery when I registered fir the course- what a great teacher and a great group of classmates- Don and the group received me with open arms! I loved forward yo Tuesday mornings ! You could tell the passion Don had for music in the time and effort he placed into our classes! I was truly impressed with everyone’s knowledge and their love for Doowop music! You were just on my mind Don when I received the news from Joyce! You will forever live in my memories and my heart! The family pictures  truly depict who you were! Condolences, Rosalie- a true sweetheart, and to your family and friends!

It was always Presti, with ''My Three Sons'' and Isoldi, with 'My Two sons', and I always felt part of both families.
Now my family just got smaller.

I was saddened to hear about Don's passing. I really enjoyed his Doo wop class, great seminars and his comedy classes both in Queens and Manhattan. He was a good friend and our Tuesday group was one big happy family.  Rosalie you were a great addition when you joined our group.

Tuesday mornings were my favorite post-retirement activity.  It was my first Si Beagle class with Don Isoldi called "Doo Wop Classics". Little did I realize the joy and happiness I would experience every week.  Wonderful memories accompanied the great selection of music presented.  Don's ability to bring all together allowed great friendships which still exist today.  Thank you Don for sharing your kind manner and musical knowledge with us.
You will be missed!

Don was my first instructor at the UFT after my retirement. There were only four students and I forced a friend to join bc I was in doo wop heaven. and wanted the class to continue. Tuesday mornings at 10:00 was my happy place. Don was kind, gentle, welcoming and the doo wop expert. We became a family bc of Don and remain great friends. Rosalie joined us and completed the circle. 
Dear Don we will miss you. 

I will never forget th great fun we all had in the wonderful Doo Wop class.  I was a little late to the party only taking it for 4 or 5 years.  I am still in touch with many of the class members from those years.  The environment that Don created was warm friendly and fun loving.  The best class.  Never to be forgotten.  RIP 

Neither rain, snow, sleet, or sun would keep us from going to The Doo Wop Experience each Tuesday morning at 10:00. Don was our leader, our teacher, and the only one of us who could carry a tune.  We all walked into his class at the UFT, total strangers, and we came out as a"Don's Doo Wop family." He brought us together with his personality, intelligence, and wit, and we remain as friends, today. We will miss sharing the music but most of all, we will miss him.  Don, "Have a Doo Wop Day!"

I spent many a  happy ,wonderful and magical Tuesday  morning  at Dons Doo Wop class at 50 Broadway. The people in the class became a family and we are forever indebted to Don for the time we all got to spend together. A very special individual. Thanks Don. My sincerest condolences to Rosalie and the rest of the family. RIP Doo Wop Don🙏🙏❤️❤️

A warm and friendly person to know. I’m happy to have known and worked with Don. Loved his sense of humor and his musical skills, he loved a good fog effect. A good guy who will be greatly missed.

Cousin Don will be deeply missed!  He had so many accomplishments in life.  However, first and foremost he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather -- a true family man.
Don had a special gift in making whomever he spoke to feel like they were the most important person in the room.  I will miss our conversations and his humor!!
He will always be in our hearts.

Anthony and I enjoyed going to 50 concerts with Don and Rosalie. He was so knowledgeable in music and TV shows we watched growing up. Don was a wonderful friend, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed but left friends and family with precious memories. You will always be in our hearts dear friend.


Whether it was in his classroom, running the halls, as a Dean, or spinning tunes as a DJ, Don Isoldi brought his own unique touch of class to everything he did. A true gentleman, and someone who will be greatly missed. 

I have fond memories of Don when we worked at Harry Van Arsdale High School in Brooklyn and traveled together each morning and afternoon. We enjoyed our car pooling trips as well as sharing daily work experiences. I also remember Don conducting his Doo Wop seminars for retired school personnel at the Manhattan Si Beagle learning center each fall and spring. His classes and seminars were quite popular. Don will be missed. 



Don was a wonderful part of our Van Arsdale High School experiences, always making those around him feel good!!!

We met Don a number of years ago in his doo-wop class and he decided that I ( Mark ) was the heckler in the class.  We became good friends and when Sandy hit S.I. Don and Roe spend a few day with us in our home.  We really enjoyed having them and it solidified our friendship. He will always be remembered and loved.

I taught with Don at Harry Van Arsdale HS.He was a true professional!  A  gentleman !

My deepest condolences for the loss of my co worker. This untimely death is very difficult to bear. He was not just a  colleague   but also a very dear friend. May God give your family the strength to cope with this test of fate.
