Elaine Roby (Karpinski) 87. Born and raised Staten Islander. Who passed away

Sunday, January 19, 2020. Surrounded by loving family. Born in 1932, in Staten Island

Hospital. Raised in New Brighton, lived in West Brighton and Castleton Corners. She

was the daughter of the late Ingoutos and Catherine Karpinski (Dzikowski). Loving wife

to Emmett Roby, who was the love of her life. Who predeceased her in 1999. Cherished

mother to her three girls Debbi (Joel) Smit, Kim Roby, Traci (Michael) Nunes,

grandmother to Jason Roby, Troy (Ashley) Smit, Micheal and Nicole Nunes, and great

grandmother to Makayla and Kaylene Roby. Her brothers and sisters all predeceased

her Edward, John, Frank, and Junior (Lucia) Karpinski, and Anna Larson, Mariom

Wolko, and Catherine Smith. She had many nieces and nephews; she was like a

mother to them. Linda (Bob) Tobin, Stan (Mary) Karpinksi, Cathy (Frank) DiIorio, Sue

(Bill), Glynn, Elaine (Ed) Franzcak, Angeline (Frannie) Napolitano, Stephanie (Luis)

FloresRivera and their families.

She was a Nurses Aide at Clove Lakes Nursing Home for thirty years. She

enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, going to Atlantic City with the girls,

and decorating for the holidays. She will be missed.

Her wake will be at Casey Funeral Home, Todt Hill. Wednesday January 22,2020

2-4 and 7-9. There will be mass on Thursday, January 23 at 10:45, her burial will follow

at St. Peters Cemetery.
