

Born Elizabeth McFadyen in Glasgow, Scotland, she immigrated to the United States moving to upstate New York in 1963. Before settling in Grasmere in the early 1970s, she lived in the Bronx and Brooklyn.
She worked for 25 years at JC Penney, at their former location in Port Richmond and at the Staten Island Mall. She retired in 2003, as a supervisor.
An accomplished singer, she enjoyed travel, reading, watching classic movies and U.K. soccer. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be missed deeply by her family and her longtime friends from Scotland.
She was a parishioner of St. Sylvester's R.C. Church, Concord.
She was predeceased in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Campbell, who died in 1983.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Hugh, her sons, Hugh and Gerard; her sister, Rose McKay and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sylvester's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Grasmere.
