Born Elizabeth Young on Staten Island, she was a lifelong resident of Grasmere until moving to Florida in October.
A graduate of New Dorp High School, Mrs. Golden worked as a librarian for the New York Public Library in St. George before retiring in 1980.
Mrs. Golden was an avid reader and loved golf. She was a former parishioner of St. Sylvester's R.C. Church, Concord.
Her husband, Thomas Jr., died in 1984. A son, Billy, died in 1983.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas III and Patrick; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's R.C. Church in Dongan Hills. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
