Our family has been blessed to be in the presence of our beloved grandmother. She had great strength, wisdom, and a golden heart. Her love for us was unconditional.

Family meant everything to her. She made many sacrifices for our family. Going above and beyond to care for all of us. Caring for others was second nature to her.

Looking through the family photos you can’t help but notice that she smiled brightest around her family. Whether it be a celebration of a birthday, graduation, engagement, wedding, or the holidays. From the elaborate celebrations to the most simple moments it all meant a lot to her.

We each carry with us many fond memories of our grandmother. Whether it be her touch, smell, smile, wisdom, honesty, laughter, conversations or cooking. These memories are precious and engraved into our hearts. Her spirit will be carried on. We all loved her so very much. She was our moral compass. Our rock! Now up in heaven she will be our guiding star.

My aunt Evelyn is one of the nicest persons you can find, yet so strong, in every sense of the word. She shared so many stories about our Chun family. She set a good example for us on how to endure and persevere in the face of adversity. Now the two aunts that I love the most (my aunt Mary Yee Moi and Aunt Evelyn Yan) have passed. I am saddened but at ease, because I know she is with our Lord. I am proud to be her nephew and happy that we shared so much together.

There are too many precious memories that grandma and I have shared to put a paragraph. Sharing only a story is barely scratching the surface of what an incredible life she lived and creating the best moments in my life.

Mama was a selfless woman who put her family above all else. She told me she was the richest person in the world being blessed with so many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Everything she did for us, she did with a smile on her face. Whether if it was making us breakfast before school or taking care of us when we were sick. She did it all with finesse and no complaints. And she is still the only person I know who could perfectly peel an apple with a knife, leaving one-long strand of skin behind.

Mama, I miss you dearly and I hope you are happily reunited with bak bak enjoying a game of mahjong, having coffee and soft serve ice cream.

We have been fortunate to be endowed by her incredible strength and have all been touched by her wisdom. We all carry the unconditional love she had for her family on our sleeves, and her memory forever in our hearts

Our love for you transcends infinity, but we all know you loved us more. Her sacrifices are a testament to that

We all miss you Ma’ma, but we will continue to carry on your spirit

Farewell for now

I miss you and I love you to the moon and back. I will miss watching the Food Network with you and how we talk , and how you always told me to work hard in everything and take care of my children. And I will be rewarded later in the future. You were the world best Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. I will pass down all the things I Iearned from you to my children and their future children. You will always be in my heart. Love you always your daughter V V.

My mom only have an elementary level of education but her philosophical view of life is so profound. I always love to listen her childhood stories during the wartime. The story about the separation of my father for 14 years while I was about 2 years old in Hong Kong and many more.....When I had difficult time while my husband, Nelson was away for medical school. She always encouraged me that "Bitter before the Sweet". She said that we always have to go through the rough life to appreciate the better life". She is a good listener, she listened to my complaints patiently. I always felt better after I let everything out.
Mom, I love you and will always remember your philosophical teachings. Your stories and the beautiful memories will pass down to my next generations. You always in my heart and love you. May you rest in peace!
Love you always! Your daughter, Agnes (Ping)
