She was the loving mother to her seven children and loving mother-in-law to their spouses - Janet Messina (Samuel), Terrence McCool (Bernadette), Karen Mogensen (Jan), Ellen McCool, Timothy McCool (Joan), Steven McCool (Denise), and Michael McCool (Jeannette Day).

She was beloved Gram to her seven grandchildren and their spouses - Tracy Romano (Vincent), Valerie Root (Richard), Matthew Messina (who predeceased her), Ian McCool, Brian McCool, Erin McCool, and Daniel McCool; she was also treasured GG to her seven great grandchildren -Caleb Root, Micah Root, Seamus Root, Bodie Root, Enzo Romano, Rafael Romano and Lydia Romano. Aunt Eve, You may be gone from us for now, but you will always be remembered by all of us who were lucky to have you as a major part of our family for so many good years. Along with my uncle and mother you held our familes together to share so many good , happy memories along the way, and provided support for the few sad times we had to endure. May God greet you in heaven and reunite you with those you love and reward you for a life well lived. Rest in Peace.

Aunt Evelyn, beauutiful Aunt, beautiful Godmother. You were there at the beginning of my life and always there for me. You made a huge difference in my life. I loved being with you as a child, you treated me like I was yours! As an adult I loved talking to you, you shared wonderful memories of my Mom and Dad and you were always there for me in good times and bad. I'm heartbroken you are not physically here but glad your suffering is done! I know you will always be with us because you would never leave our hearts. Till we meet again my beautiful Aunt Eve be at peace ! I Love you super Big !

She was my Mother’s cherished sister-in-law,(married to my mother’s brother Mickey)the mother of my Goddaughter Ellen +6 more, beloved grandmother, great grandmother and my FAVORITE AUNT! I can remember making many trips from Queens to visit as a teen even before the Verranzano Bridge. Aunt Evelyn was a great baker and a very loving person. To this day, we make her mother’s recipe for Jam Crescents for some holidays. I will miss her, our long telephone conversations , and most of all I will miss her at our annual 4th of July celebrations that her and my uncle started over 60 years ago. Rest In Peace Dear Aunt.
Love, Barbara

To the entire McCool family. To lose a mother is difficult, she was the lady who ruled the roost, kissed boo boos, kept you under control - sometimes and cooked those famous meals that you still love. It is the memories of the wonderful mother that will keep you smiling, laughing and reminiscing that helps you grieve in a different way. My thoughts are with you as you keep those great memories with you forever and honor her as the mother she was to all of you. She may be physically gone, but you have her forever in your heart and memories. Keep them close.

Our family could not have asked for better neighbors than the McCool family. Evelyn, her husband Mickey and their entire family made us feel welcome from the first day we moved next door to them. They watched our son RJ grow up and were always happy to lend a helping hand or even their oven when ours broke on Thanksgiving morning! We will miss her dearly. Our deepest condolences to her entire family.
