Fannie Cammarata (née Boschetti), 91, of Queens, NY, died May 26, 2015. She was born in Philadelphia and lived most of her life in New York City, first in Manhattan and then Queens. She was an active senior citizen who enjoyed family and friends, reading, and watching and talking about her beloved Yankees. Fannie was predeceased by her husband Santo (1990) and her 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Salvatore and Miki Cammarata and Daniel and Debbie Cammarata; grandchildren Dana Marie Gagliardo and her husband Steven, Carmine Cammarata, and Alyssa Cammarata; dear friend and companion Abe Arbiter; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Fannie is remembered lovingly by family and friends for her witty sense of humor - sometimes "sassy", generosity, fashion sense and dressing to the nines, passion for the Yankees, and reading and talking about her racy books. She was a modern-day woman before modern-day women existed.
