The lifelong Staten Islander was born and raised in Stapleton. He settled in Ocean Breeze in the early 1960s.
Mr. Magri served in the U.S. Air Force.
He had been the custodian of Zion Lutheran Church in Willowbrook for five years. Prior to that, he worked for AT&T at a New Jersey plant for 20 years, and retired 17 years ago.
Mr. Magri enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his sons, Thomas, Steven and Jason; his daughter, Antoinette Magri; three sisters, Rose Marie Dunlap, Patricia Ann Dargis and Dorothy C. Granberg, and two grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood.
