George Proietti

George Proietti, 89, passed away at SIUH on April 1, 2017, with family by his side. Born Nov. 18, 1927, in Trenton, N.J., George met his late wife, Anna Rotunno Proietti, when he was a Merchant Marine. They were married for 58 years. George worked with pride as a mover for Victory Van Lines for over 50 years. He was a man who loved to make people smile, using his creativity in jewelry making and hats for every occasion. He enjoyed dancing and singing and decorating cards and gifts for his family and friends. George leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Georgann Gilbert, Carolann Boncella and Lisa Proietti-Fox; his grandchildren, David, Stephanie, Lisa, Jennifer, Katie and Amy Rose, and his great-granddaughter Ella Anna. Visiting will be at Casey Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 5, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, followed by entombment at Cemetery of the Resurrection.
