George was born in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Susan Wagner High School in Staten Island and Clark University in Worcester, MA. He was an employee at Cravath, Swaine, & Moore in New York City for 23 years.
At Clark, he sang in a band called "Cool Step". After graduation, he lived in Boston and sang in a number of bands. He always loved music, especially Jazz.
George deeply loved the NY Mets Baseball team. He was a lifelong fan starting in 1969 when they won the World Series. The 1986 series was one of the highlights of his life.
George was also an advocate for those with Autism. He always believed children with Autism should be treated with love and respect.
George is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kirsten Rorke; his son Michael Yarbrough; his mother Barbara Joyce Yarbrough; his sister Barbara Lieba; his sister Jewel Daniels; his nephews Juan Lieba, Zach Lang, and Joe Lang; his nieces Jynnah Radford and Nikki Lang; his step-mother Diane Yarbrough; his Brother-in-Law Andrew Rorke and his wife Linda Smith; and his Brother-in-Law Dave Lang and his wife Michelle.
