Gerald (Jerry) Sansevero, 70, beloved father, grandfather,and brother passed away from Covid complications on July 26, 2021. Gerald was born in Mariners Harbor, Staten Island on December 24, 1950 to the late Carl and Susan (Mascolo) Sansevero. He was a graduate of Tottenville HS. Gerald was a veteran who served in the Air Force as a jet aircraft mechanic. He retired after working 30 years for the Department of Transportation as a deckhand on the Staten Island Ferries. Gerald was always adventurous and followed his dreams. Passionate in all he did, from power hang-gliding in the clouds to deep sea scuba diving. He loved boating, fishing & casinos. He enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family & friends in Florida. He was a jack-of -all trades and a great mechanic who would come to help anyone with any project. Gerald loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Lewand, SI and Jessica Cone, Fl, his grandchildren Lily & Jacob & his brother Carl Sansevero. His sister Susan Luongo passed in 2011. Gerald is also survived by a loving aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends who will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Adalberts Church, 337 Morningstar Road, Staten Island, on Tuesday, August 10th at 11 am.
Gerald will be placed to rest in Naples Memorial Gardens to be handled by Hodges Funeral Home, Naples, Florida.
