Gerod Malandro

Born October 21, 1970 in a family of 7 children, Gerod was a life-long Staten Islander who spent much of his outdoor time in and around the thoroughfares and waters of the Island. Gerod was known for his outlandish sense of humor and quick wit. He was an avid fisherman and boater, and enjoyed many other pursuits including island vacations, hand-made art and woodworking, bowling, golf, and attending concerts and parties. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his loyalty to friends and family, his love of cooking and wine, of pigs, fish and frogs, and his ability to make every gathering feel like a celebration. Gerod was also an avid Yankees, Rangers and Jets fan.

Gerod was the beloved son of Dominick and Eleanor Malandro, and is survived by his Mom, the love of his life Lisa Ann Morisi, his sisters Donna LoPresti (Jimmy), Linda Wilson (Glen), his brothers Mark (Laurie), Ken (Jennifer), Jim (Theresa), Matt (Stacey), Mike, and his in-laws Hector Sr, MaryAnne, Dina, Hector Jr (Victoria), as well as 20 nieces and nephews, and 9 grand-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, New York.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2026 at St.Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, New York.
