Born Gloria Besignano, she grew up in Dongan Hills and lived there until 1976, when she relocated to Marlboro, N.J. She settled in Lakewood in 2007.
She graduated from McKee High School.
Mrs. Telmany enjoyed fishing and crabbing. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and creating her own jewelry.
While living on Staten Island, she was a parishioner of St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Dongan Hills.
Her husband of 18 years, George, died in 1970.
Surviving are her son, George F.; her daughter, Rita Lee; three brothers, Joseph, John and Raymond Besignano, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a blessing at 10 a.m. in St. Ann’s Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
