

Born in Manhattan, she was brought to Brooklyn as a child and had lived in Todt Hill for the past 55 years.
She graduated from Tilden High School in Brooklyn and became a seamstress at Bali Bras in Manhattan. She retired in the 1950s, and spent the rest of her life as a homemaker.
Mrs. Filipazzo enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren and crocheting and knitting clothes for them. Her specialty was making hats, sweaters, dresses and booties for babies. However, she would also make items for anyone who asked.
She was a parishioner of St. Teresa's R.C. Church, Castleton Corners.
Her husband of 57 years, Frank, died in 2008.
Surviving are her son, Salvatore; four daughters, Anna Farsi, Edith Annalora, Barbara Ciraola and Frances Rubino; a brother, Ignatius; a sister, Mildred Squicciarini; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10:45 a.m. in St. Teresa's Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
