

Born Grace Rosa in Manhattan, she grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Great Kills in 1951.
Mrs. Giordano worked as a school aide, first at P.S. 8 in Great Kills and then at the Barnes Intermediate School, also in Great Kills, for 40 years before she retired in 2003.
She loved listening to Frank Sinatra and was among the original Bobby soxers who enjoyed his music. She also enjoyed watching television and taking trips to Atlantic City. A warm woman, family was very important to her.
Mrs. Giordano was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great Kills.
Her husband of 24 years, Joseph, died in 1970.
Surviving are her son, Anthony; her daughter, Deborah Hamm; her sister, Marie Commander; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey, McCallum and Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a 9:45 a.m. mass at St. Clare's R.C. Church. Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery in Oakwood.
