Greg attended St. Peter’s Boy’s High School, graduating in 1969. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves before completing a successful career as a Wall Street trader. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Greg was deeply committed to philanthropy and dedicated many years of fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Music was one of Greg’s greatest passions. He began playing guitar and singing at a young age and went on to perform in several bands throughout Staten Island. He loved to travel with his family and was known for bringing friends along, turning every trip into a memorable experience. Greg was a proud founding partner of the Staten Island Winery, a venture that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit and his love of bringing people together.
Greg retired to Mantoloking, New Jersey, where he was always the life of the party; sharing good wine, music and laughs with his favorite people. As captain of his boat, Greg would spend his days cruising the bay, enjoying the sun and anchoring at the F-Cove. In 2017, Greg relocated to Charleston, South Carolina where he enjoyed the remainder of his retirement years under palm trees and sunshine. Greg found his greatest joy in hosting, laughing, and creating unforgettable moments with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Joseph Cavallo, and his mother, Jean Cavallo.
