Helene Lawler, 79, a longtime Staten Island resident, died June 2, 2017.
Mrs. Lawler came to New York from Montreal in 1969. She worked at St. Ann's rectory from 1991 to 2009. She enjoyed watching classic films and knitting.
Helene was the widow of James D. Lawler, who died in 2004.
She was the mother of four, James, Dennis (wife Pamela), Carolyn O'Donnell (husband Seamus), and Diane (fiancee of Kenneth Kelleher); and grandmother of three, Dennis and Ashley Lawler, and Seamus O'Donnell.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Virginia Funeral Chapel. Mass is Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace on New Dorp Lane.
