

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ignazio J. Rosso, 85, of Staten Island, New York, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Born on Staten Island to the late Philip and Josephine Rosso, Ignazio was a proud graduate of New Dorp High School.
A veteran of the United States Army, Ignazio enjoyed a successful career, ultimately retiring as a Vice President at the Bank of New York.
He was married to the late Antoinette Rosso, with whom he shared many years of love and devotion. He is survived by his sister, Vincenza “Ginger” Rosso, and his brother, Charles Rosso, along with many sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. Affectionately known as “Uncle Brother” by those closest to him, Ignazio was a man of deep faith. He was a devout Catholic who attended daily Mass.
In his leisure time, Ignazio loved playing tennis, tending to his garden, and following the New York Yankees, a passion he held for many years. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith were evident to all who knew him.
A visitation for Ignazio will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Holy Rosary Church, 80 Jerome Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305. Following the service, a committal service will occur at 12:00 PM at Ocean View The Cemetery Beautiful, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.
