

Iyabo was born in Staten Island and raised in New Brighton and West Brighton. She attended PS31, IS61, and Wagner HS, where she graduated early. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, she later attended Long Island University and obtained a degree in Education.
In the beginning of her career, she became a professional at Prudential, shortly after her tenure within corporate, the entrepreneurial bug bit her big time and she opened, owned, and operated multiple Day Care Centers on Staten Island. She also developed a fascination and appreciation for real estate and owned multiple properties on Staten Island along with her beautiful private home in New Jersey.
Throughout her life, Iyabo embodied a tenacious spirit and a profound love for Staten Island. Her unwavering determination and zest for life were evident to all who knew her. In the face of adversity, she always rose above, defying the odds time and time again.
Despite medical prognoses that doubted her longevity, Iyabo proved her resilience and strength. She surpassed expectations set by doctors, refusing to be confined by limitations. Her remarkable journey left an indelible mark on her community and inspired all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
Iyabo's legacy is one of courage, perseverance, and boundless determination. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched along her extraordinary journey.
Iyabo precedes her father, Julius, brother, Olabamidele, sister-in-law, Iris, nephews, Brandon and Alex, and niece, Arianna, two godsons, and two goddaughters, along with additional family, many friends, and colleagues.
She is now resting in eternal peace.
A funeral service for Iyabo will be held Monday, February 5, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Brighton Heights Reformed Church, 320 St Marks Pl, Staten Island, NY 10301. Following the funeral service will be a committal service in Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.
