James J. Duffy, 68, of Westerleigh died April 5, 2016. James was born in Brooklyn. He was a Navy veteran. He was a welder with Con Ed before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and was a fan of both the Mets and the Cowboys. James lived the American Dream. He lived out God's will. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Deborah Duffy; children, Peterina Alayon and James P. Duffy; grandchildren, Joseph R., Peter, Samantha, and Brittany Alayon; his great-grandchildren, Peter Jr., Amelia, Adrian, Aaliyah, Joseph G. and Jaxon Alayon. Services are being handled by Casey Funeral Home. Visiting hours were held on Thursday and will also be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass is at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Rita's Church. Interment is in St. John's Cemetery.
