Rest in eternal peace in the loving and caring arms of the Lord Jimmy. You will always be missed,  and never forgotten.  I'm am glad I had the opportunity to meet you at Westchester Maintenance Yard. You were surprised that I had so much time as a Motor Instructor and so much time in the NYC Transit Authority. We hit it off right from the start. I'll always remain your Brother. 

Jimmy, I don't know what you saw in the young rookie train operator that you befriended some 15 years ago but I'm a blessed man for having had you as a friend and mentor.  You were directly responsible in getting me into the 1205 and then getting me into the AF reserves.  You changed my life.  When I left Transit 10 years ago to join the DC Metropolitan Police Dept., I regret not staying in touch.  I am heartbroken to learn of your death 6 months after the fact.  My condolences to your family.  I salute you, Jimmy, and may you rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the family, Jimmy and I graduated together as Train Operators for NYCTA and worked together for more than 20 yrs. He had a great sense of humor and was always a pleasure to work with. Rest in Peace my friend.

Hi  everyone I was with Jimmy Hart in the 1205 and the 226 great person always was safe and thought us all on rail safety always with a smile and kind hart I still cant believe Jimmy is. I was in shock to hear of your passing...you possess a positive spirit and a caring soul.  The world is a sadder place now that you have left it behind...I know that your spirit and soul are very much still present, but it is sad that the world is deprived of your inspiring smile. There are no words to express the loss of Jim Hart.  Your laughter stays with us and you were a good pop pop.  You join a great many of our other loved ones in heaven and so until we all see each other again rest in peace!

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Please know that those  we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday. I have memories of Jim letting me go to their home in the Poconos. I must've been 13 or 14 years old. As soon as we got there I was thirsty, so I go in the fridge to take out freshly made iced tea in an all glass pitcher and I drop the pitcher on the floor which breaks into a million pieces. I wasn't even there 10 minutes. Jim looked right at me and laughed and cleaned it up for me. He was always nice to me and my family and his memories will forever live on. He was a great granddad do Peyton and Ethan. You all now have the best guardian angel in heaven. May God bless you and keep you all during this time. Love you!!!! xoxo

Dear Marlene & Family, we're so very sorry for the loss of your father. May he rest in peace and may you all find comfort during this most difficult time.

In this day and age, there is NO question in my mind that the singlemost greatest gift any person can bestow upon another...is the gift of a smile.  That smile is what keeps that individual burning in our hearts today and tomorrow and the next day, and the next day beyond that........whether here or not in the physical sense.

Such a sad day for our family. He was a wonderful person and always made us laugh. Always had a smile on his face. We will miss him.

Jimmy from all of us in the 1205th Army Railroad Battalion we love you brother. Jimmy was my room mate at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point North Carolina. We shared many laughs through out his years at Naval Weapons Station Earle and Fort Monmouth New Jersey. Sergeant Jimmy Hart was a comedian a character and the first person to shake your hand when you arrived for duty. To many of us he was an Instructor of Railway Operations in the daytime and a great friend off duty. Rest in peace my brother and room mate Sergeant Jimmy Hart. Keep them laughing in Heaven. Amen

WOW, was so, so sorry to hear about Jimmy's passing. Really loved him. Enjoyed being around him at work and he always had me laughing. I am just heartbroken about this loss. Jimmy was like family to me. I will miss him so much. Rest In Paradise, Jimmy!!

Jimmy- I would always joke around with you about the similarity of your name with the Wrestling manager and we'd always have a laugh about it.
