Today isn’t the only day I think of my sister Chicky and my brothers Joe and Jim. Last night my nephew Jimmy called. We were talking for over an hour. He told me stories, a lot made me laugh, some made me cry. Since they passed I think of them even more. There were good and happy times, memories I’d forgotten. It’s a good thing having them on my mind. I was very lucky to have them in my family, this helps you through the loss of loved ones.  Just want everyone to know that memories of the past are a great mechanism for dealing with the loss. I miss and love them, and their memories live in my heart. Rest in Peace, love Butchie.

I really felt your absence today. We had some company over and even though I tried to laugh and be happy, it was hard without my Dad and my best friend there. The absence of  your laugh, your timely jokes and your presence was evident. While I know you are in a better place I will miss and mourn you for the rest of my life. Until we meet again.

Dad,
This wasn't supposed to be like this. You were going to get well again and come back home to us. Like you always did. I guess God had other plans. I find solace in the fact that you suffering was short and that you are at peace now. I am also glad your long time health struggles are over. I also am comforted that for 46 years I had the best Dad anybody could ask for and I literally spent almost everyday of my life with you. I am broken hearted. You were my best friend, my confidant, my mentor, my advisor, my buddy, my hero and most importantly the one person who always had my back. I keep waiting for you to walk in jiggling your car keys and saying "Hey, Hey Hey. What's cookin." I miss your sarcastic onliners, I miss seeing you in your favorite chair, I miss watching television with you, I miss you teasing me and Mom,  your whistling and the sound of your voice and laughter.  I loved you more than you could ever know. I know that we will meet again in Heaven and I will always remember your favorite advice when things got crazy. "Relax. just relax and eventually everything falls into place. Things happen for a reason."

I could write a thousand pages of memories with My Uncle Jim. He was a special man to all of us. He taught us how to love , respect and Honor our Family.  Even though he was one of the youngest siblings of seven , He took on the Patriarch role after  the loss of our Grandfather. They were one and the same.

To Aunt Rosanne, Jimmy, Connie, Dennis, & Ben,
     Uncle Jimmy was a great man.  I have so many fond memories of him and being in your home throughout my life.  Uncle Jimmy’s house was the house that we all seemed to gather in on so many occasions.  I loved spending time there.  I will always remember Uncle Jimmy as a hard and dedicated worker, a loving husband, father and grandfather, and an all around terrific man.  He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  He was quiet but very funny, if you weren’t paying attention to the untrained ear you would miss some very funny commentary from him, and that is probably what I will remember and miss the most about him.  I know you are at peace now Uncle Jim and have rejoined so many of our loved ones we have lost over the years in God’s kingdom.  May you live forever there and shine down upon us.

Joey and I are so saddened to hear of your brother Jimmy’s passing.  Life is so hard but we must keep our faith that God will give you the strength to accept this terrible loss.
