Janet M Mabra

Born Janet Robinson in New Brighton, she graduated from McKee High School. She lived in West Brighton for 20 years before settling in Willowbrook.

Mrs. Mabra was a certified nursing assistant at Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Castleton Corners, for 12 years.

An active member of St. Philip’s Baptist Church, Port Richmond, she sang in the Cathedral and Ministry choirs.

Mrs. Mabra was a member of Forever Young Senior Center, St. George, and enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips to Atlantic City, shopping, and ceramics.

Her husband of 22 years, Alen Sr., died in 1981.

Surviving are her sons, Alen Jr., Steven and Michael; her daughter, Donna Kinard; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 9:45 a.m. in St. Philip’s Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp. Arrangements are being handled by the Harmon Home for Funerals, West Brighton.
