Born and raised Jean Bolto in Dongan Hills, she moved to West Brighton in 1941 before settling in Dongan Hills in 1979.
Mrs. Brocato graduated from McKee High School in 1936. She worked for more than 20 years as a bookkeeper at Majors Travel Agency in Port Richmond until she was 75 years old.
Mrs. Brocato was a Mets fan and enjoyed traveling and baking.
She was a member of the Dongan Hills AARP chapter.
Her husband of 67 years, Andrew, died in 2009.
Her son, Andrew, died in 1996.
Surviving are three daughters, Teresa Ann Gatto, Debra Mohr and Elaine Ricca, and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ann's R.C. Church, Dongan Hills. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
