

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Jean Cibelli, 89, of Dongan Hills, a homemaker who will be remembered for her generosity and devotion to her family, died Sunday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born Jean DeRenzi in New Brighton, she attended Curtis High School.
After she and Anthony Cibelli wed in 1948, the couple settled in Dongan Hills.
Mrs. Cibelli enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and visits to Atlantic City.
She especially liked spending time with her three grandsons.
Mrs. Cibelli was kind and giving and had a great sense of humor, her family said.
She was a parishioner of St. Sylvester's R.C. Church, Concord.
Her husband of 65 years, Anthony, died in 2012. She also was preceded in death by her son, Glenn, in 2014.
Surviving are his son, George; a brother, Daniel DeRenzi; a sister, Rose Soldiviero and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's R.C. Church, both in Dongan Hills. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
