

The native Staten Islander resided in Sunnyside most of her life where she and Robert raised a family of 4. Jean "Pinky" was a devoted homemaker to her entire family who kept the house full of life. She was a great cook and baker who was very talented with arts and crafts, but most of all taking care of her family. She loved to travel , dining out, and spending time with family. She loved to play Bingo and volunteered at the polling places whenever there was an election.
She was also an avid collector of costume jewelry.
She attended P.S. 17 and then St. Joseph Hill Academy. Prior to her marriage she was a telephone operator.
Loving wife of the late, Robert R. Cole, Jr., married for 63 years. She was the loving mother of Donna Murphy, Barbara Pardi, Robin Barbera (Louis) and Robert R. Cole III. Cherished grandmother of David Valenza, Louis Barbera and Heather Potak (Andrew) Robert R. Cole IV and William H. Cole. Adored great grandmother of Andrew "A.J." Potak, Luke Potak and Ella Potak. She also leaves behind many cousins whom she loved dearly. Dear sister of late brothers John Vida, George Rumage and Walter Rumage.
She will be dearly missed by all.
The funeral will be held at Casey Funeral Home on December 28 at 9:30 with a mass at St. Theresa's at 10:45 with interment at Ocean View Cemetery.
