Jesaca Ruspantini

Jesaca Ruspantini, beloved mother and wife, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Staten Island University Hospital. Afflicted with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and completely paralyzed by the disease for 14 years, she managed to raise her 2 fine sons from grade school through college and lived long enough to see them attain great careers in healthcare. Her husband and sons were completely devoted to her care throughout the years and she was devoted to them.

Her death from complications of the disease occurred quickly and unexpectedly, leaving us with a big void in our family life. Her steadfast perseverance to be functional in spite of her disability kept her family together through many hardships and challenges. She will always be in our thoughts and hearts and dearly missed!

May God Bless our beloved Jesaca and bring her into glory of his kingdom as we wait to be with her again.

A visitation for Jesaca will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A committal service will occur Friday, December 23, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
