

The Bronx native was born Joan Bologna, and was reared in Manhattan. She settled in Castleton Corners in 1972.
Mrs. Agelire worked for 16 years as a pharmacy technician for CVS on the Island. She also held a real estate license and sold real estate for 10 years.
An animal lover, she faithfully donated to charities that supported animals.
Mrs. Agelire enjoyed entertainment from the 1950s and 1960s, and was especially fond of singer Frank Sinatra and actor Marlon Brando. She was strong and enjoyed exercising. And she was fond of traveling, especially visiting Hawaii, where her family lived.
Her deep compassion and dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed, her family said.
She is survived by her son, Anthony; her daughter, Dina Weber, and three grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Burial will follow in Silver Mount Cemetery, Silver Lake.
