John Memon passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, son Peter and daughter Janine as well as his five grandchildren: John Peter, Sophia, Charlotte, Emma and Simon.
Parkinson’s may have stolen his mobility, but it never took his wit, and he never stopped teasing his wife of sixty years. Up until he passed away, he lived a life driven by generosity, resilience, and optimism. John spent thirty years working as a refrigeration mechanic for Pepsi, and another twenty years working as a jeweler, although he enjoyed telling his grandchildren that he graduated from “clown college”.
One of his grandchildren’s favorite memories of John was when he dressed up as Santa Claus on Christmas to surprise them, although he fooled no one.
John was deeply loved by his entire family, who will cherish their memories of him for the rest of their lives. May God bless his gentle soul.
