Joseph W. Brennan, 80, retired NYC firefighter and lifelong Staten Island resident, died on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016. He was predeceased by his wife, Pat Brennan (nee Stolpinski). He is survived by his daughters, Tricia Karafin and Christina Blynn, along with five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom and Brian Brennan. He was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Shannon. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Casey Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Moravian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
