Joseph Cassone Jr.

Joseph was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in 1980 with his wife and family.

He was retired from FDNY and enjoyed singing, drawing and was very active in his church singing in a quartet. He also enjoyed vacationing with his wife and family to Niagara Falls, Quebec and Maine. What he cherished most was spending time with his family.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife Laura Costanza of 67 years, his daughter Laurie Joy Smith, his granddaughters

Jennifer Smith-Peralta and husband Federico Peralta, Lauren Smith and Thomas Maldonado, Christine Smith and Nikola Miloshevski, his great grandchildren Tommy Luca, Thomas James and Savannah Rae, his sister Carmen Munizzi and many nieces and nephews who called him Uncle Smokey because he loved to sing On Top Of Old Smokey to them.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents Joseph Cassone and Gertrude Scarbaci, his brother John Cassone and his

loving son Gary Joseph Cassone.

Joseph will be laid to rest on Wednesday March 29, 2023 at Moravian Cemetery.
