

Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Maturi had lived in Willowbrook since 1966.
A graduate of Fort Hamilton High School in his native borough, he owned and operated Bay Ridge Grinding for 40 years, retiring in the early 1990s.
Mr. Maturi was a parishioner of St. Rita's R.C. Church, Meiers Corners.
He served in the U.S. Army in Japan, during World War II.
He loved to travel and especially enjoyed visiting Atlantic City.
"He was a very caring father and grandfather,'' said his son, Joseph.
His wife of 62 years, Laura, died in 2012. In addition to his son, Joseph; Mr. Maturi is survived by his daughters, Eileen Marturi and Diane Schumann; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Rita's Church. Burial will be in Oceanview Cemetery, Oakwood.
