Born in New Brighton, he graduated from Curtis High School and served in the U.S. Army. In 1972, he moved to Great Kills.
Mr. Sellitti was a devoted FDNY firefighter for 25 years before retiring in 1985.
He enjoyed fishing.
He was a parishioner of St. Patrick's R.C. Church in Richmond before attending St. Clare's R.C. Church in Great Kills.
Mr. Sellitti is survived by his former wife of 12 years, Loretta Cartegna; a son, Glenn; three stepsons, Joseph DiBartolo, Michael DiBartolo and Scott DiBartolo; a stepdaughter Lorane D'Eredita; two sisters, June Rudiger and Mary Pietracola, and 10 grandchildren.
The Casey-McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, is handling the arrangements, which include cremation and a memorial service that is being planned for a later date.
