Born Giuseppina Tucciarone in Tufo di Minturno, Italy, she immigrated to the United States in 1951, moving to Manhattan. Ten years later she moved to Rosebank, and she settled in Dongan Hills in 1971.
Mrs. Rasile was beloved by her family and "lived for her grandchildren," said her son, Frank.
She also loved animals and kept dogs, chickens and goats as pets throughout her life.
Mrs. Rasile was a parishioner of St. Ann's R.C. Church, Dongan Hills, and at one time made rosary beads for the church.
In addition to her son, Frank, surviving are her husband of 61 years, Gino; her daughters, Angela Guarneri and Marianna DiMaria; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills. Arrangements include cremation.
