

Judith was born on September 21, 1939 in her parents home in Brooklyn. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. She then worked at AT&T in Manhattan as a secretary. In July of 1953 she met Joseph Luken at a track meet where Joseph was a participant. Joseph Luken and Judith “West” dated for many years before marrying on May 28, 1960. They were married for 58 years.
They moved to Staten Island, from Brooklyn, in December of 1965 after their third child was born. She was a homemaker and volunteered at the St. Clare Religious Education Program and in September of 1986 she was hired as an administrative assistant for the program. She was a part of the St. Clare CCD program for over 30 years.
Judith was on a bowling league for many years in the 1970’s & 1980’s. Judith & Joseph loved to travel & have traveled to all 50 states. Judith loved going on cruises, completing word search puzzles, reading mystery & romance novels, and going to Atlantic City.
She survived colon cancer, skin cancer, liver cancer, & lung cancer. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The American Cancer Society.
Judith leaves behind her daughter Victoria Karnatski, grandson Dane Fioravante & his wife Jamie, granddaughter Amanda and her husband Sean, granddaughter Cassandra Luken and her great-grandson Leonardo Joseph Fioravante who was just born in June.
Within the past years she went thru burying her son Jeffrey and his wife Yoma, her son Keith, her son-in-law Jason Karnatski and her beloved husband Joseph.
Judith will always be remembered as a caring, kind, thoughtful, loving, and amazing woman. There isn’t a bad word to say about her. Her faith was the most important part of her life. She was a “Mom” and “Grandma” to all who were a part of her life.
