Born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late John and Agnes Regan, Kathleen graduated from St. Joseph Hill Academy in 1977. She began her professional life in New York, working for the New York City Department of Sanitation and NBC. Kathleen later relocated to Houston, where she raised her two sons and continued her career with Reebok/Adidas, and most recently, Academy Sports + Outdoors.
Those who knew Kathleen will remember her beautiful smile, boundless generosity, and deep capacity for care. She truly understood the value of selfless, unconditional love, creating a childhood for her sons rooted in imagination and endless possibility—a gift that now lives on through her grandchildren. Her warmth and presence left an indelible impact on everyone fortunate enough to be part of her life.
She is survived by her sons, Brian Cortright and Sean Cortright; her beloved grandchildren, Izobel, Vivienne, and Jack; and Patricia and Eddie Bergstrom, who will cherish her memory.
