He is survived by his partner of 19 years Mary Ann, his children Denis (Emmeline) Reilly, Carlene (Egan) Picken, his granddaughter Rosalie Reilly, siblings James (Margo) Reilly, Paul (Janet) Reilly, Eileen (Frank) Padula, Sharon (Thomas) Murphy, Daniel (Jennifer) Reilly, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was pre-deceased by his brother Eugene Reilly and parents Audrey and Eugene Reilly.
Larry, a fun loving legend in the FDNY, always lit up the room. He served the FDNY at Ladder 43 and Engine 53 for 25 years. Among his many awards for bravery is the Commissioner Edward Thompson Medal of Valor in 1990. He served as an Honor Guard in the FDNY Emerald Society as well as a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Larry enjoyed traveling with his partner Mary Ann and cruising together with friends. If he wasn’t holding court at the Jets bus tailgating, he was with his family entertaining generations of Reillys with his quick wit and epic stories. He was a man full of laughter who truly left his mark on this world.
