

Leslie Cermenello, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the age of 67. Leslie was a cherished member of his community, known for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Leslie dedicated much of his life to hard work and service, spending 25 years as a valued employee of Scara-Mix with Teamster Local 282. Even after retirement, his strong work ethic and commitment were evident as he continued to contribute to the workforce, spending a decade with Trader Joe's. His dedication and professionalism left a lasting impact on those he worked with and the organizations he served.
Outside of work, Leslie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed golf. But above all else, Leslie cherished spending time with his friends and family, particularly his beloved grandchildren. His role as "Grampy" brought him immense pride and joy, and he showered Vincent, Evelyn, Jax, and Jasper with love and affection, always eager to create lasting memories with them.
Leslie's family was his greatest source of happiness and fulfillment. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Doris, his two loving daughters, Christina Melapioni, and her husband Vinny, Katelyn Labella, and her husband Kenny. Leslie was a dear brother to Robert, and he had a special bond with his sister-in-laws, Adriene and Rose. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Leslie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
A visitation for Leslie will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. A visitation will occur Friday, February 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. A visitation will occur Friday, February 16, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Church of Our Lady of Pity, 1616 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314.
