Born and raised on Staten Island, she graduated from Tottenville High School and lived in Great Kills until moving to Union Beach five years ago.
She worked as a legal secretary for 40 years for White Case, Dewey Valentine, and Reed Smith in Manhattan. She retired in 2007.
Ms. McKenna was a former parishioner of St. Clare’s R.C. Church, Great Kills. In her leisure time, she enjoyed bowling, playing shuffleboard, dancing, singing, and traveling in Europe.
“She was the life of the party,” said her friend of 40 years, Clare Lawle.
Surviving is her longtime companion of 30 years, Len Tusa.
The funeral will be Friday from the Casey-McCallum-Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Clare’s Church. Arrangements include cremation.
