

Born and raised Lorraine Casey in Midland Beach, she graduated from New Dorp High School and settled in Westerleigh over 50 years ago.
“She was the matriarch of the family; she was a very strong woman,” said her daughter, Rosemary Ahearn.
Mrs. Fry loved to cook, and was known for her pot roast and roast beef. She enjoyed family trips to the Jersey Shore and going to Atlantic City with her husband, Ernest.
She was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, West Brighton.
Mrs. Fry’s son, James, died in 1988.
Surviving, along with Ernest, her husband of 62 years, and her daughter, Rosemary, are her son, John; her daughters, Linda Burke, Karen Fry and Cathy Crews; 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West
