Born Lorraine Tumminello in Great Kills, she settled in Oakwood in 1998.
She graduated from Tottenville High School.
Mrs. Margolis worked for 25 years in sales in the garment center in Manhattan. She then worked as an officer manager at Margolis & Associates, a family owned insurance agency in Manhattan, for 20 years.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting her vacation home in Sanibel, Fla.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael; her stepsons, Daniel, Joshua and Brandon Margolis and Peter Sams; her stepmother, Rosemarie Tumminello; her brothers, Frank and Jeffrey Tumminello; her sister, Marie Ogden and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
