

September 11, 1934.
He was the youngest child of Alois Brinskelle and Maria Peschel. His was predeceased by his two siblings Olga Schruhl and Maria Trupia. His mother died when he was two years old. He was raised by his father. Family members wanted to adopt him but his father wouldn’t let his “Sonny” go.
Louis graduated from East New York High School and then attended the Academy of Aeronautics.
He worked for Rau Fastner for 35 yrs as a service engineer. Before retiring he worked at AIG where he made many new friends.
Louis met his wife Louise at a friend’s wedding but didn’t date her until she turned 18yrs old. They have been married for 62 years.
Louis was a devoted husband , father and grandfather. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. He was so proud of all of them. He remained in contact with all his childhood friends. They were like brothers. Only one of his childhood friends remains which made him very sad.
He loved to travel see new places and try different foods. Cooking and fishing were his favorite things to do especially with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Louise [Orlando], his sons Louis Brinskelle and his wife Sherri of Mooresville, NC, Michael Brinskelle and his wife Allison of Lavalette, NJ and daughter Luanne Brinskelle and husband Nick Gentile He is also survived by his grandchildren Samantha and Jesse Brinskelle of New Jersey, Louis , Jack and Erica Brinskelle of Mooresville, NC and Noelle Christiansen of Staten Island. . He is survived by nieces Christine Choka, Karen Shruhl, Cythnia Monteleone and Linda Capone. His nephew William Frosch predeceased him. Louis was very close with his brother’s in law, Frank Orlando of Queens, NY and Salvatore Trupia of New Jersey and especallly his son in law John Christiansen.

Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm
