Louis Ricco Quattrocchi, aka Louie Q., passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 89. Born February 13, 1937, on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Louie later made his home in Keyport, New Jersey, where he was known and respected as a steady presence and a man of unmistakable spirit.
Louie attended high school and Military Police School, setting a course defined by discipline, service, and purpose. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1958 in the Military Police, achieving the rank of Sergeant—remarkably, at only 18 years old. His years in uniform reflected both strength and conviction, qualities that remained evident throughout his life and work.
Following his military service, Louie continued a life of commitment through his work with the Department of Environmental Protection and Casey Funeral Home. In every role, he carried himself with a directness and confidence that drew people in, paired with a warmth and humor that made even ordinary moments feel brighter.
A devoted family man, Louie was married to Carolyn Quattrocchi for 48 years. He is survived by his daughter, Dana Quattrocchi; his grandson, Michael McCarthy; his sister, Joanne Laface; and his nieces, Victoria, Irene, Teresa, and Elizabeth.
Louie found joy in the simple and the lasting: swimming, woodworking, painting, drawing, singing, camping, nature, and cooking. Whether working with his hands, lending his voice in song, or sharing a meal, he brought an energy that was larger than life—marked by boldness, charm, and a gift for making others feel at ease.
