

She was born in Concord and grew up in Stapleton. In 1959, Ms. Scarpelli moved to Boston. She returned to Clifton in 1987.
A graduate of McKee High School, Ms. Scarpelli worked as a shipping and receiving supervisor at Color Picture Publishing Company in Boston. She then worked for 18 years as a dye processor at the former Sun Chemical Company, Rosebank.
A baseball fan, she rooted for the Boston Red Sox.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading. She also liked the beach and enjoyed walking on the boardwalk.
She is survived by her sons, Edwin Paul and Aaron Komst; her daughters, Toni Ann Komst, Gigi Lawrence, Marcia Lawrence and Georgi Scarpelli; her brothers, George and Ralph Scarpelli; her sisters, Rose Connelly and Maryann Harrell; her longtime companion, Miguel (Mike) Martinez; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey Funeral Home, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Teresa's R.C. Church, both in Castleton Corners. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
