She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grammar school and High School. A short time later her brother Kenneth introduced her to a young Thaddeus (Ted) Borkowski who she went on to marry on August 6, 1954. They lived in Brooklyn then decided to take their 2 sons at the time and move to Staten Island. Shortly there after their 3rd child a daughter was born. In 1969 Lucille became the "adopted mother" to about 40 more young ladies when her husband Ted decided to form a Fife and Drum Corps at Sacred Heart School...and Mrs. "B" as she became to be known had no problem yelling at anyone of the girls, if their uniforms were not correct or their hats were never properly placed on their heads. But even then, she was always so proud of these girls especially as they marched down Forest Avenue in the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. She was always their biggest cheerleader.!! Lucille held various jobs in the insurance industry but her best job that she held to the day she died was being a "Mom" and "Grandmother." .Lucille was of strong faith, a devout Catholic and a forever member of Sacred Heart Church and School where she was an active member of the Saint Monica's Mothers' Guild. She enjoyed returning years later to watch her grandchildren participate in school activities and sporting events. Lucille was a frequent visitor to Atlantic City enjoying both day and weekend trips when she could. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren the most. She was predeceased by her son Thomas (1976), her husband Ted (1984) and her 10 siblings. She is survived by her children Ted (Leane), Diane Colini (Michael), her Grandchildren, Thomas, Justine, Thomas, Colleen, Timothy, Terrence, Christopher, Lauren, Nicholas and Christian., and her Great-Grandchildren, Mason, Griffin, Gemma, Ryder, Wyatt & Brooklyn..
