Margaret Hansen

Born Margaret Cannizzaro in Brooklyn, she came to Staten Island at the age of 14. She grew up in Dongan Hills and settled in Castleton Corners 14 years ago.

During the 1990s, Mrs. Hansen worked in the registration office at the College of Staten Island for four years and then as a secretary in the Richmond County Clerk's Office for five years.

She was a graduate of New Dorp High School.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed arts and crafts and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony and Russell; her parents, Russell and Lorraine; two brothers, Russell and Michael; a sister, Laura Vitale; and her companion of 12 years, Seth Gordon.

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's R.C. Church, Dongan Hills. Burial will be in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood.
