

Margaret “Peggy” Taylor, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 13, 2023, at the age of 86. The eldest of 5 children, Peggy grew up in Brooklyn. Peggy met her husband Frank on a blind date at the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Peggy and Frank later married and moved to Staten Island where they raised six children and were long-time parishioners at St. Sylvester’s parish in Concord. Peggy and Frank were married for 51 years before Frank’s passing in 2009.
Peggy worked at St. John’s University for 25 years before retiring. Peggy was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Peggy was devoted to and survived by her six children, Mary Koeth (Jim), Eileen Coyte (Don), Jean Boyle (Charles), Doris Cadigan (Bill), Daniel Taylor and Terence Taylor (Anne Marie); twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place Thursday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial
will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
