Marguerite C. Hunt, 85 Pioneering policewoman raised her family with love and care Marguerite C. Hunt of Rosebank, S.I., passed away on May 14, 2019. Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, she attended Fontbonne Hall H.S. and the NYC Police Academy, one of two women in the police academy class of 1964. For a time in the 1970s she served as the only female police officer on Staten Island. She was on the force for 20 years. Marguerite raised four children by herself with love and care, fun, and wit. Proud of her time 'on the job' she enjoyed regaling friends and family with policewoman stories about her times undercover, on patrol and dealing with the brass.
