Maria G. Uzzi

Maria G. Uzzi, age 87, of Great Kills, Staten Island, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Maria is now reunited with her beloved husband, Michael C. Uzzi, as well as her cherished brothers, Angelo and Peter.

Maria is survived by her devoted son, Peter Uzzi, and his wife, Marla, along with her adoring grandson, Michael Uzzi. She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Fred, Dominic, and Ann. Known affectionately as Aunt Marie to many, Maria was a beacon of generosity, humor, and warmth to all who knew her.

A visitation for Maria will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey-McCallum Rice Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 9:45 AM at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, 110 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. Maria will be laid to rest following a committal service at 11:15 AM at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.

Maria will forever be remembered for her kindness, infectious smile, and unwavering commitment to her family. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
